Letters I've Written To Various People / Muppets
Ongoing discussion with UKIP representative Derek Norman.He thinks we should spend more on nuclear fusion research, and I don't disagree, but waiting for fusion is not an energy policy... It has brought to my attention this 'Cult of Opinion' we seem to have in the UK: Everyone is entitled to their opinion - even if it fucking stupid. We're supposed to respect peoples right to espouse opinions on subjects they know nothing about... We're supposed to respect their right to have not engaged their brains at all in the installation of that opinion... Well, in my (possibly somewhat arrogant) opinion, people should be tested to prove they can read, write and follow a logical argument before being allowed to vote.
