Fathers For Justice - Email ConversationHi, My Point:I am writing a letter to Mr Cameron, which I will also be posting on the web, pointing out to him that the legal system in this country is so biased against the father, that if he feels like finding a target for his disappointment with the state of the family in the country, then it should be the legal system (and government) first, and errant fathers second. Thousands of fathers, as you well know, are prevented from being part of their children's lives by the flawed system which gives the mother custody by default. I wanted to raise some of your issues with him, and wanted to mention your organisation as evidence of the existence of these injustices, but I find your website to be sorely lacking in information, and far from forthcoming on ways to find it. It seems you require people to pay £30 for the privilege of reading your FAQs. That is absolutely ridiculous... (I build and market websites for a living BTW, and charging to view FAQs is unheard of and utterly self-defeating)
If your intention is to get 30 quid from every guy who has been stiffed by the ex - and make money - then you're no better than the lawyers and judges you vilify. From the website, it's hard to say that's not what it's all about... However, I must assume the organisation is genuine, and the website is simply poorly designed. I would be more than happy to provide advice, or even change the website for you - that's what I do... I would be grateful if you could send me an account of the exact legal problems you are working to overcome. Rest assured that I will make as much fuss about the issue as I can - I have been threatened with the loss of my child - hence the interest... Unless the problem can be defined in clear terms, then a solution will not be found. Reply From F4JHi, Fathers 4 Justice is a volunteer run organisation which relies on donations and registration fees to campaign as does any serious, professionally run organisation be it Amnesty or Greenpeace. Without these funds we simply would not exist. Our commitment is to help those people who have registered with us. As the world’s largest, highest profile equal parenting group who have helped over twenty thousand fathers in four years without a penny from government, we suggest you take your patronising and obnoxious comments and take them to a group that has no idea. We are sure you’ll find a meeting of minds there. Matt My Response (Email #2)Hi Matt, I'm not sure what you found to be obnoxious or patronising about my email, but it's a fact that the internet is all about information - and for your website to serve you well, it needs lots of good quality information on it... It's great you have helped lots of Dads in their legal battles, but the law still hasn't changed much, and the situation could be a whole lot better for fathers in the UK... It would make sense for the website to explain in clear and obvious terms exactly what the problems are that F4J wishes to address. The problems are alluded to, but not explained in clear terms - such that I could find. Reply #2 From F4J...awaiting response. CommentsThis is a sporadically moderated blog.
